Operation, Setting and Use of the Hob

4.9 Key lock / child lock of the hob

To prevent unintentional operation
(e.g. by children accidentally switching on the cooking zones),
you can lock the control panel of the hob.
Switchingoffthehobwhenthekeylockisactivated:
Even if the control panel is locked, the On / Off key
remains active.
You can thus switch off the hob at any time in an emergency.
However, for further operation, the key lock must first be
released.
To use the key lock function, proceed as follows:
Locking the control panel
• Touch the key for the key lock / child lock
for at least 3 seconds.
• The timer display shows
or and the remaining time alternately,
if the timer was previously set, .
The control panel is locked except for the On/Off key
Unlocking the control panel
• Make sure that the hob is switched on.
• Touch the key for the key lock / child lock
for at least 3 seconds.
• The display disappears
and you can now use the hob normally again.
4.10 Reminder(Switch-offremindermode)
E.g. for forgetful people, in addition to the auto switch-off (see "Auto-
matic functions"), the hob has a permanent
setting mode to remind the appliance to switch off.
When activated, a signal tone sounds each 10 minutes after
the start of operation
and operation is interrupted until the next key touch
or the hob is automatically switched off after 10 minutes
without operation.
