Operation and safety
Qualifi ed personnel
The installation and maintenance of the fi ltering system can be carried out by trained and authorized
personnel.
Proper use
The safe and correct operation of the product is granted by the respect of the installation, control
and maintenance instructions indicated in this manual.
The fi ltering system UNOX.Pure is intended to be applied only to On ChefTop™ and BakerTop™
ovens to feed the steam production.
Liability exemption
The installation and the replacement of the cartridge must be carried out following exactly the
instructions given on this manual. UNOX cannot be held responsible for any damage, including
indirect damages, that may be caused by a wrong installation or an improper use of the appliance.
Spezifi sche Sicherheitshinweise
• To feed the water fi ltering system UNOX.Pure use only drinking water.
The water fi ltering system UNOX.Pure is suitable to be used only with cold water at inlet water
temperatures range indicated on "Technical Data" on page 14.
Never use microbiologically polluted water or water of unknown quality without proper sterilization.
• In case of request from an offi cial offi ce to have the tap water boiled before use, the fi ltering
system must be disabled. Once the water boiling process is over, it is necessary to replace the
fi ltering cartridge and clean the joints.
• The cartridge fi ltering material is sanitized with a special silver treatment. This treatment may
leave a nontoxic small quantity of silver in the water.
This is in compliance with the World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations for drinking
water. It may be that the quantity of silver is over the values indicated by the Codex Alimentarius
Austriacus.
• It is suggested to boil the tap water in case is used for people with special needs (ie.: people
with low immune defenses or newborn babies).
Warning for people with kidneys diseases or dialyzed: during the fi ltering process the
potassium content may slightly increase. In case of kidneys diseases and/or if a specifi c
potassium diet is prescribed, it is suggested to consult a doctor.
• Filtered water is classifi ed as 2 category, in compliance with EN 1717 regulation.
• UNOX suggests not to leave the fi ltering system idle for long periods of time. If the UNOX.Pure
fi ltering system is not used for 2–3 days, it is suggested to wash the system with 10 liters of
water.
After more than 4 weeks time of non-use, the fi lter should be washed with at least 100 liters of
water or replaced. Never use the same fi ltering cartridge for more than 12 months.
• Do not open or disassemble the advice while operating. Never open the fi ltering cartridge.
• If the fi ltering system head is installed correctly respecting the operation conditions indicated
on technical data, it can last up to 10 years (starting from the installation date).
In any case, at the latest after 10 years the fi ltering system head must be replaced. The fl exible
pipes have to be replaced maximum after 5 years.
