1. GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS

WARN ING!
Read all safety warnings, instruc-
tions, illustrations and specifica-
tions provided with this power tool.
Failure to follow all the instructions
below may cause electric shock,
fire, and/or serious personal injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for fu-
ture reference.
The terms "power tool", "power tool" or
"power machine" in these warnings refer
to your mains-powered or cordless pow-
er tool.
Safety at the workplace
– Keep the workplace clean and proper-
ly lit. Clutter and poor lighting can lead
to accidents.
– Do not use the power tool in an explo-
sive atmosphere, such as near flamma-
ble liquids, gasses or dust. Power tools
create sparks that can ignite dust or
fumes.
– Do not allow children and unauthorized
persons to the place of operation of the
electric machine. Distraction can cause
you to lose control over the power tool.
Electrical safety
– The plug of the power tool must match
the outlet. Do not make any changes to
the plug under any circumstances. Do
not use any adapter plugs for grounded
power tools. Using unmodified plugs
that match the outlet reduces the risk
of electric shock.
– When working with a power tool, do
not touch grounded surfaces such as
pipes, radiators, electric stoves and re-
frigerators. There is an increased risk of
electric shock if your body is grounded.
4
– Do not expose power tools to rain or
moisture. Getting water into an electric
tool increases the risk of electric shock.
– Do not allow careless handling of the
power cord. Never use the power cord
to carry, pull, or turn off the power tool.
Do not allow the power cord to come
into
contact with heat sources, oil,
grease, sharp edges or moving objects.
If the power cord is damaged or twist-
ed, the risk of electric shock increases.
– When operating the power tool out-
doors, use an extension cord suitable
for outdoor use. Using an extension
cord for outdoor use reduces the risk of
electric shock.
– If it is necessary to work in a wet room,
use a power supply with a protective
disconnection device. The use of a pro-
tective release device reduces the risk
of electric shock.
Personal safety
– Be careful, watch your actions and use
common sense when
power tools. Do not use a power tool if
you are tired or under the influence of
drugs, alcohol or medication. Even the
slightest inattention when operating a
power tool can cause serious injury.
– Use personal safety equipment. Make
sure to use safety glasses. Using appro-
priate protective equipment, such as
respirators, nonslip safety shoes, and a
hard hat or hearing protection, reduces
the likelihood of injury.
– Take precautionary measures in case of
unexpected start-up. The switch must
be in the off position before connecting
to a power supply or battery, while lift-
ing or carrying the power tool. Do not
keep your finger on the switch when
carrying the power tool, and do not
connect it to the power supply while
the switch is on.
– Remove any adjustment key before
turning on the power tool. A key left on
a rotating part can cause injury.
– Maintain stability and balance during
work. This will be a guarantee of reli-
able control of the power tool, in par-
ticular in unpredictable situations.
