Cleaning and descaling
Cleaning
If you are not using the device, empty it and clean the water container to
avoid the formation of germs:
1. Switch off the device and pull the connector out of the socket.
2. Pour all the water out of the water container.
3. Clean the water container using clear water.
4. Clean the outside surfaces with a soft, damp cloth.

cleaned using a mild dishwater detergent solution.
Descaling
The device must be regularly descaled, depending on the water hardness
and frequency of use. We recommend descaling every 1-2 weeks.
1. Switch off the device and pull the connector out of the socket.
2. Fill water and a descaling solution or vinegar essence into the
water container, up to the MAX marking.
3. Switch on the device.
4. Set the temperature to 98°C.
5. When the water boils, switch the device off again.
6. Leave the water-descaling solution for approximately 10 minutes
and then drain it off via the discharge tap.
7. Repeat the process three times using fresh water. After this, the
device is ready for operation again.
