Control and operation
Principle of the samovar
In order to prepare tea, first the water in the samovar is heated. A strong
tea concentrate is prepared in the tea pot, and the teapot is then placed
on the lid of the samovar. This keeps the tea concentrate warm. Now it is
possible to use the device as you wish: first pour the required quantity of
concentrate into a tea cup, and then fill the tea cup up with hot water from
the discharge tap. In this way, you are able to prepare fresh tea according
to your personal taste.
Tea leaves and teabags are required for the preparation of tea. The tea
concentrate will be stronger the more tea and the less water you use. For
black tea, we recommend approximately 10 teaspoons of tea to 1 litre of
boiling water, and an infusion time of approximately 5 minutes. Green tea
can be dosed in lower quantities, has a short drawing time and the
brewing temperature is lower. Herbal and fruit teas should be covered
with boiling water. The infusion time is approximately 10 minutes.
Prior to initial use
