Transferring the load using lifting equipment
Figure 21
Forklifts must be suitable for transferring RoCos.
The required distance between forks must be set before lifting.
Make sure that the floor is even.
When transferring loads using pallet trucks or forklifts, the RoCo must be secured using
the braking mechanism before being lifted onto the forks.
This makes the RoCo easier to both lift onto the forks and to set down.
CAUTION!
Before lifting a RoCo on a pallet stacker with folding frame, the forks of the lifting equipment
must be raised slightly to ensure that the RoCo is lifted securely. Do not walk under a RoCo
which is being lifted by lifting equipment.
CAUTION!
Always open out the empty RoCo before lifting on the forks and latch the base into place!
Folded RoCos may not be lifted using forklifts and similar lifting equipment!
When transferring loads using tail lifts or lifting platforms, RoCos must always be set down
on the relevant platform with the brake applied.
Refer to the operating manual for this equipment when transferring loads!
