4-Way Video Splitter

Intended use
This 4-way video splitter enable a range of up to 150 metres to be reached
for the video outputs. The video outputs are passive (no impairment in the
event of a short circuit of another output). The video splitter enables up
to 4 display devices to be connected. The video splitter provides a lossless
signal output.
The video splitter as well as the wall plug transformer are solely intended for
operation in dry indoor locations.
The voltage is supplied via the enclosed wall plug transformer (12 V/DC) or
the connection terminal (24 V/AC).
Operating the product in any other way than described above is not per-
mitted and may lead to damage to the product, which can give rise to risks
such as short circuit, fire and electric shock. The product must not be modi-
fied or converted. Always observe the safety instructions included in these
operating instructions. Read the operating instructions carefully and keep
them for later reference.

Explanation of the symbols
The "lightning" symbol indicates a health hazard, e.g. danger of elec-
tric shock.
The exclamation mark indicates a particular risk during handling,
operation and control.
The arrow symbol indicates special tips and operating information.

Safety instructions

For damages due to the user's ignoring these operating inst-
ructions, no recourse can be had to warranty or guarantee. We
assume no liability for subsequent damages related to this.
For damages to persons or objects which come about due to in-
appropriate use or ignoring the safety instructions, we assume
no liability. In such cases no recourse can be made to warranty
or guarantee.
• The video splitter must not be modified or converted, as not only
will the CE approval become void but also the warranty.
• The video splitter should not be exposed to extreme temperatu-
res, direct sunlight, intense vibrations or heavy mechanical stress.
• Where the device is used connected to other devices e.g. a monitor
and a mains supply unit, the operating and safety instructions for
the connected devices must be followed.
• The design of the wall-plug transformer complies with protection
class II. Only connect the wall-plug transformer to a normal mains
socket (230 V/AC, 50 Hz) connected to the public grid.
• After rapid changes in temperature, the video splitter and the wall
plug transformer require some time to stabilise, in order to adjust
to the surrounding temperature, before they can be used.
• Electronic devices are not toys and should be kept out of the reach
of children!
• Please contact qualified person, if you are unsure about the safety
or the correct use of the video splitter.
• Never leave the packaging material lying around unattended. Plas-
tic film/bags etc. can be dangerous playthings for children, there is
a risk of suffocation.
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer
possible, disconnect the device immediately and secure it against
inadvertent operation.
• It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- the device is visibly damaged,
- the device does not function any longer and
- the device has been stored under unfavourable conditions for a
long period of time or
- it has been subjected to considerable stress during transpor-
tation.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations-
of the Employer's Liability Insurance Association forElectrical
Systems and Operating Materials are to be observed.
• The video splitter, as well as the wall plug transformer, are only
intended for use in dry indoor locations.
• The voltage is supplied via the enclosed wall plug transformer
(12 V/DC) or the connection terminal (24 V/AC).
• Maintenance, adjustment and repair may only be carried out by a
qualified specialist or a specialised repair shop.
• If you have any questions, which are not answered in this manual,
please contact our technical service or an other specialist.

Installation

None of the connection cables must be bent or squeezed. This can
result in malfunctions, short circuits and defects in the device.
When selecting a location for the installation, make sure it is
not exposed to direct, intensive sunlight, vibration, dust, heat,
cold and humidity. The device must not be used in the vicinity of
heating sources, or devices with strong magnetic fields. There
should be no devices that produce strong electrical fields, such as
mobile telephones, radios or electrical motors, close to the video
splitter. These could influence the picture quality negatively.
The video splitter, as well as the wall plug transformer, are only inten-
ded for use in dry indoor locations.
• The video splitter has 4 mounting holes.
• Hold the video splitter in the intended location for mounting.
• Mark the mounting holes (e.g. with a pencil).
• Drill the holes.
• Attach the video splitter to the mounting location using suitable moun-
ting material.
