WARNING:
To prevent equipment
always switch off sand filter before changing the Control Valve
function. Changing
valve positions while the pump is running can
damage the Control Valve, Wiich may cause personal injury or
propeny
damage.

to Use
the
Control

CONTROL
VALVE
The Control valve is used to select 6 different filter functions:
Closed
and
Drain.
Filter:This functionis usedto filter poolnater andshould
be positioned here99%of thetime.Wateris pumped
throughthesandfilter,whereit is cleanedand returned to
thepool.
Backwash:This function is used to clean the sand bed;
veteris pumped down through theCollector H ub:upvcards
through thesandbed,anddeposited o utof PortD.
Rinse: T hisfunction forinitial s tartup, c leaning, andsand
bedlevelingafterBackwash; l avater is pumpeddownwards
throughthesandbed,upthroughtheCollectorHuband
deposited outof thevalvePortD.
NOTE:
• Be sure all provisions
Do not discharge waterwhere

D on the
Control
• Do not swtch on or operate the sand filter with the Control Valve set to the Closed function or it will
seriously damage the sand filter.
• Do not set the Control Valve between two functions,
• To avoid water leakage, screw the Port D Cap onto the Control Valve Port D before operating the
sand
filter.
