Indkøring
Under indkøring af KVQ + EKS 67 skal
anlægget bringes til at arbejde stabilt. Kun

balance. Ventilatorer og lignende må derfor
ikke ind- eller udkobles.

Sensors
Pt 1000 ohm

Installation

Important! When mounting the unit in a panel
or when building it into a cabinet the isolating
spacer (fig. 6b) must be removed first.
Place defrost sensor S2 so that it registers a
representative temperature during defrosting.
The sensor can be placed in a protective cap
and mounted on a pipe.
Fig. 3a shows the placing of media
temperature sensor S1.
Where several refrigeration points are
involved, e.g. a row of refrigerated displays or
shelves is connected to the same suction line
with a KVQ-EKS 67 regulation, it is important
that sensor S1 registers a middle
temperature.
Four parallel and series connected Pt 1000
ohm sensors can be placed in a series of
refrigeration points. This gives better
registration of actual temperatures (see figs.
3c and 3d).
Connections
Connection of sensors S1 and S2
(Media temperature sensor and defrost
sensor). See figs. 4, 9.
The Pt 1000 ohm sensors are fitted with 2.5
m cable (2 x 0.20 mm
2
). If longer cable is
necessary, an extension can be made with
ordinary copper cable. However, it is
important that the total resistance of the cable
does not exceed 2 ohms. (2 ohms correspond
to a temperature variation of 0.5°C). See fig.
4.
Connection of inputs
See fig. 8
If several regulators are to be connected to
the same transformer they must all be in
parallel, i.e. terminal 2 to terminal 2, etc.
Note
In systems where transformer secondary side
earthing is required, the earth connection
must be made on the side of the transformer
that is connected to terminal 2 on EKS 67.
If screened cables are used, they must only
be connected at one end and only to the
regulator that is to be protected.
Connect the screen to terminal 2. Normally,
screened cables are not necessary with EKS
67.
External defrost timer
To be connected to terminals 2 and 10.
Defrosting is started by a signal from the
defrost timer. The timer has an ordinary make
function and must remain made for at least 2
seconds.
