For an optimum life-time, the battery packs have to be fully charged,
after use. Battery packs which have not been used for some time
should be recharged before use.
To obtain the longest possible battery life remove the battery pack
from the charger once it is fully charged.
For battery pack storage longer than 30 days: Store the battery
pack where the temperature is below 27°C and away from moisture
Store the battery packs in a 30% - 50% charged condition, Every six
months of storage, charge the pack as normal.
Do not dispose of used battery packs in the household refuse or by
burning them. Milwaukee Distributors offer to retrieve old batteries to
protect our environment.
Do not store the battery pack together with metal objects (short
circuit risk).
Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the battery pack
or pump outside the temperature range specified in the instructions.
Charging improperly or at temperatures outside the specified range
may damage the battery and increase the risk of fire.
Use only System M18 chargers for charging System M18 battery
packs. Do not use battery packs from other systems.
Never break open battery packs and chargers and store only in dry
rooms. Keep dry at all times.
Battery acid may leak from damaged batteries under extreme load
or extreme temperatures. In case of contact with battery acid wash
it off immediately with soap and water. In case of eye contact rinse
thoroughly for at least 10 minutes and immediately seek medical
attention.
No metal parts must be allowed to enter the battery section of the
charger (short circuit risk).
Do not use a battery pack or pump that is damaged or modified.
Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit unpredictable behavior
resulting in fire, explosion or risk of injury.
TRANSPORTING LITHIUM BATTERIES
Lithium-ion batteries are subject to the Dangerous Goods Legislation
requirements.
Transportation of those batteries has to be done in accordance with
local, national and international provisions and regulations.
The user can transport the batteries by road without further

MAINTENANCE
WARNING! To reduce the risk of injury, always unplug the charger
and remove the battery pack from the charger or tool before
performing any maintenance. Never disassemble the tool, battery
pack or charger. Contact a MILWAUKEE service facility for ALL
repairs.
CHANGING OIL
After each use while pump is warm and oil is thinner, place pump on
level surface and open oil drain. Oil can be forced from the pump by
opening one intake and partially blocking the exhaust with a cloth
then running the pump. DO NOT operatre the pump for more than
20 seconds using this method. Dispose of used oil properly.
FLUSHING OIL
If the oil is severly contaminated, flushing may be required. With the
oil drain open, slowly add oil into the reservioir while pump is running
until contamination is removed. Dispose of flushed oil properly.
MAINTAINING TOOL
Keep your tool, battery pack and charger in good repair by adopting
a regular maintenance program. Inspect your tool for issues such
as undue noise, misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage
of parts, or any other condition that may affect the tool operation.
Return the tool, battery pack, and charger to a MILWAUKEE service
facility for repair. After six months to one year, depending on use,
return the tool, battery pack and charger to a MILWAUKEE service
facility for inspection.
If the tool does not start or operate at full power with a fully charged
battery pack, clean the contacts on the battery pack. If the tool still
does not work properly, return the tool, charger and battery pack, to
a MILWAUKEE service facility for repairs.
WARNING To reduce the risk of personal injury and damage,
never immerse your tool, battery pack or charger in liquid or
allow a liquid to flow inside them.
CLEANING
Clean dust and debris from vents. Keep tool clean, dry and free of
oil or grease. Use only mild soap and a damp cloth to clean, since
certain cleaning agents and solvents are harmful to plastics and
other insulated parts. Some of these include gasoline, turpentine,
lacquer thinner, paint thinner, chlorinated cleaning solvents,
ammonia and household detergents containing ammonia. Never use
flammable or combustible solvents around tools.
REPAIRS
For repairs, return the tool, battery pack and charger to the nearest
authorized service center.
Only use the appliance if it is in perfect condition. Regular
maintenance and cleaning provide for a long service life and safe
handling.
Compliance with the specified service work and service intervals is
mandatory.
Only carry out maintenance work described in the operating
instructions.
Use only Milwaukee accessories and Milwaukee spare parts. Should
components need to be replaced which have not been described,
please contact one of our Milwaukee service agents (see our list of
