This product is intended to be used to monitor and
control tools. No other use permitted.

Operation safety
WARNING Test the emergency stop at regu-
lar intervals.
Each emergency stop installation must be

tested regularly to ensure maintained safety
integrity. It is recommended that this test is
included in the regular maintenance proce-
dure for the system.
General Safety Instructions
WARNING Read all safety warnings and all
instructions. Failure to follow the warnings
and instructions may result in electric shock,
fire and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future
reference.
To reduce risk of injury, everyone using, installing,
repairing, maintaining, changing accessories on, or
working near this tool must read and understand
these instructions before performing any such task.
When using electric equipment, basic safety pre-
cautions, including the following, should always
be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric
shock and personal injury.
Our goal is to produce equipment that help you
work safely and efficiently. The most important
safety device for this or any equipment is YOU.
Your care and good judgement are the best protec-
tion against injury. All possible hazards cannot be
covered here, but we have tried to highlight some
of the important ones.
Only qualified and trained operators should install,
adjust or use this equipment.

Electrical safety
WARNING This apparatus must be earthed.
• Earthed equipment must be plugged into a
socket that has been properly installed and
earthed according to appropriate regula-
tions. Never remove the earth pin or modify
the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter
plugs. Check with a qualified electrician if you
are in any doubt as to whether the outlet is
properly earthed. Should the equipment suffer
electronic malfunction or breakdown, the earth
provides a low resistance path to carry electric-
ity away from the user. Applicable only to
Class I (earthed) equipment.
• Disconnect from the power supply before ser-
vicing.
• Failure to comply with these operating instruc-
tions may impair the safety of this equipment.
• Only use the cord supplied with the controller
to connect to the mains, and the cord supplied
with the tool to connect to the controller. Do
not modify the cords or use them for other pur-
poses. Use only genuine replacement parts.
• Failure to follow these instructions may result
in electric shock.
• Must not be used in explosive atmospheres.
• Avoid physical contact with grounded sur-
faces such as pipes, radiators, ovens and re-
frigerators. There is an increased risk of elec-
tric shock if your body is grounded.
• Do not expose the equipment to rain or wet
conditions. Water entering the equipment will
increase the risk of electric shock. This instruc-
tion does not apply to equipment classified as
watertight or splash proof.
