Dining of the display indicates that the silver oxide ate habia be replaced.
1. Turn off the power.
2. Remove two screws from the back cover. (Fig. 1)

. Replace the batteries.
. Hook the claws of the back cover into the slits in the direction of the arrow shown in
Fig. 2 first.
Then fit the back cover to the EL-8245 proper.
. Push the back cover in slightly while replacing the two screws.
7. Turn on the power and then set the date and time in 'SET' mode. (See page 16)

Ray-O-Vac model RW49 or equivalent should be used.
Note: ® Replace the batteries once a half year (six months) since EL-8245 is working
as a clock, even if it in not used as a calculator.
® Wipe off the surface of new batteries with dry cloth and then, install the silver
