4.5 Connecting the battery
(see appendix: Wiring diagram, battery-
connections and terminals arrangement)
The 160A or 180A fuse supplied should be
installed in the battery circuit. It is rec-
ommended that the fuse is connected be-
tween the batteries. The fuse then provides
protection in case of a short circuit at the
terminals for the entire set of batteries.
Attention should be paid to the following
points before connecting the battery:
• Check all connections thoroughly, in-
cluding those for foot and hand con-
trols.
• Switch off at the main switch. The ac-
celerator pedal should be fully released
and in the recuperation position.
• The vehicle should be supported so that
the driving wheels are off the ground
and free to rotate. Alternatively, the
drive chain or belt can be removed, if
fitted. All functions can then be tested
easily, without the risk of the vehicle
suddenly shooting off and crashing into
the nearest wall if, for example, a
wrong connection is made.

4.5 Batterieanschluss

Die Batterie ist mit der mitgelieferten
160A resp. 180A Sicherung gemäss Sche-
ma abzusichern. Es wird empfohlen, die
Sicherung zwischen die Batterien zu schal-
ten. Damit kann Sie bereits aktiv werden,
wenn am Ausgang der ganzen Batterie ein
Kurzschluss auftritt.
Bevor Sie die Batterie anschliessen, sollten
folgende Punkte beachtet werden:
• prüfen Sie bitte sämtliche Anschlüsse,
auch der Fuss- und Handbedienung,
nochmals genau nach.
• Schalten Sie den Hauptschalter aus; das
Fahrpedal nehmen Sie ganz zurück auf
Rekuperation.
• Stellen Sie das Fahrzeug so auf, das die
Räder frei drehen können, oder entfer-
nen Sie die Kette resp. Zahnriemen falls
vorhanden. Dies hat den Vorteil, das
Ihnen das Fahrzeug nicht in die nächste
Wand fährt, falls irgendetwas nicht in
Ordnung ist, und Sie können alle Funk-
tionen bequem testen.
