Commissioning and operation
2.1
Precautions to prevent accidents
The operator has to wear protective clothing e. g. waterproofed clothing, rubber
boots, protective glasses, headdress, ear plugs (depending on noise level) etc.,
when using the High Pressure Cleaner in the working area.
Before commissioning inspect always visual the High Pressure Cleaner from out-
side for damaged assemblies or components (high pressure hose, supply cable
or any other electrical or mechanical part). Do not commission damaged High
Pressure Cleaner.
High pressure jets can be dangerous if subject to misuse. The jet must not
be directed to persons, animals or to voltage supplied electrical equipment (ma-
chines, devices, cables, connections, electrical outlets etc.).
Before cleaning the High Pressure Cleaner always decommission the device
and disconnect power cable from electrical facility power outlet.
High Pressure Cleaner shall not be used by children.
The High Pressure Cleaner noise level under maximum load is 82 dB (A). If the
noise level exceeds the allowed legal values in the regulations, caused by app-
lying the high pressure jet to noise amplifying surfaces, the operator and other
persons in the working area must wear ear plugs.
Before changing the cleaning detergent, flush out the complete high pressure
system for a minimum of 2 minutes by pulling the trigger gun. This avoids subse-
quent dangerous chemical reactions.
If the high pressure cleaner is operated not within direct visual contact of the
operator, the oil burner must be equipped with a flame control (only series HD,
HDB and HDD).
Generally, High Pressure Cleaners are not to be used in rooms with flammable
or explosiveness atmosphere. During operation of oil fired High Pressure Clea-
ners in enclosure rooms, make sure that the exhaust is leaded off properly and
there is sufficient fresh air circulation. Using High Pressure Cleaners in gas-stati-
ons or other hazardous areas follow the regulation of "Technical rules for
flammable liquids".
