2. Check safety mechanisms:
This roasting pot with low pressure lid is equipped with two different automatic
safety mechanisms.
1.) Outlet valve: Ensuring an even and constant vapor pressure inside the roasting pot
2.) Silicone gasket: Ensures correct vapor pressure inside the roasting pot in case the outlet
valve is blocked. Vapor can escape through the opening of the gasket. The lid might lift up
slightly during this process. Caution: The released vapor is very hot! Keep your hands, head
and body away from the hot vapor to prevent burns!
Before cooking check the following steps in order to ensure the correct function of the securi-
ty mechanisms. Never change them. Always be sure the valve and lid are placed correctly and
firmly before use.

3. Simply proceed as follows:
a. Fill the roasting pot with the desired food and necessary liquid.
b. Place the low pressure lid transversally onto the pot (see figure A). Push the lid down when
placing it and make sure lid handle points at Open. Turn the lid until it points at Close.
Now the low pressure lid is closed.
c. Placing the roasting pot on the stove.
Heat the stove up to the highest degree. The pressure inside the roasting pot is increasing by
heating. The outlet valve (2) regulates the pressure and ensures a constant vapor pressure inside
the roasting pot.
Now reduce the heat by setting the stove to a lower degree. This saves energy and avoids
fast vaporization of the liquid in the cooker.
d. Caution: Never try to force the roasting pot open! The released vapor is very hot! Keep your
hands, head and body away from the hot vapor to prevent burns. Now turn the lid handle to
position Open. Steam is escaping from the safety valve (7). Wait until no more steam is releasing.
Make sure your hands are not situated over the steam outlet during this step (see figure B "Cor-
rect" + C "Incorrect"). Now open the lid.
