Operation:
The device can be powered by mains voltage and the built-in rechargeable battery.
1. Mains operation
Connect the device to the mains and wait a few seconds until it is ready for operation. The Power
Out socket on the back of the device can be used to power another device. To do this, connect
the output to the mains connection of the next device.
2. Battery operation
Before the device can be operated for the first time, the built-in battery must be fully charged.
Switch the unit on with the charger switch and connect the unit to an electrical outlet using the
supplied power cable.
The battery life depends strongly on the operating mode and the brightness of the LEDs. The
battery life is at least 5 hours if all LEDs light up after complete charging, up to 15 hours in
automatic and single colour mode. When the battery is fully charged, all four LEDs on the back of
the unit will turn green. The charging time is 6 to 8 hours.
The charge level is indicated by green and red LEDs on the back of the unit. If all four LEDs are
green, the battery is fully charged. If only one green LED lights up, the battery will soon be
exhausted and must be recharged. The device can still be operated for a few minutes in this
state. It then switches off automatically due to the protection circuit against deep discharge.
