oscilloscope attachment "mso-2072UsB"
item no. 1086338
intended Use
The oscilloscope attachment, in conjunction with a Windows
2.0 interface, serves as a high-quality digital storage oscilloscope for visual representation of
electrical magnitudes and signals up to 70 MHz. For the measurement, two input channels
that are independent of each other are available. Spectrum analysis is possible through the
FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) analysis function. The test probes connect to the oscilloscope
attachment via BNC plug. The operation and representation occur through the measurement
software provided on the computer. This thereby presents a real digital oscillograph user
interface. Using the auto-set function in the software, you can automatically adjust all settings
to the respective measurement signal. The measured data can be saved through the software
and even exported into Excel
. Automatic measurement functions and cursor for signal meas-
®
urement are also available. The stated measurement voltage given on the device may never
be exceeded. If necessary, use distributor test probes.
Measuring under adverse ambient conditions such as dust and flammable gasses, vapours or
solvents is not admissible.
Always observe the safety instructions and all other information included in these operating
instructions.

• A void the following adverse conditions at the installation location and during
transport:
- Extreme cold or heat, direct sunlight
- Dust or flammable gases, fumes or solvents
- Strong impacts, blows
• D o not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, since it could become a
dangerous plaything for children.
• H andle the product with care; it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental
falls, even from a low height.
• N ever reach beyond the grip surface of the probes and never touch the measur-
ing point during the measuring process. There is the risk of a dangerous electrical
shock.
• N ever exceed the max. allowable measurement voltage during a measurement.
This presents a fatal hazard.
• D o not use in the immediate proximity of strong magnetic or electromagnetic
fields or transmission aerials. These can affect the measurement.
• P rior to each measurement, check your instrument and the measuring leads for
damages. Never take any measurements if the protecting insulation is defective.
• B e especially careful when dealing with voltages higher than 50 V/AC or 75 V/DC.
Even at such voltages you can get a life-threatening electric shock if you come
into contact with live electric wires.
• F irst connect the BNC output of the probe to the oscilloscope attachment before
you connect the probe with the electrical circuit to be tested. When the measure-
ment is completed, please disconnect the measuring contacts from the measuring
circuit first, before disconnecting the BNC probe output from the oscilloscope
attachment.
• T he measurement device is only suitable for use in dry interiors. Avoid using the
device in a damp or wet environment.
• P ay attention to the operating instructions in the measurement program (Help).
• A lways ensure that the fan output "4" on the housing is not covered by anything.
There is a risk of overheating of the measurement device.
• A lways ensure that the test probes are perfectly clean. Polluted or corroded test
probes may affect the measurement result.
• S tore the measurement device and all of its accessories carefully in the storage
bag when it is no longer needed.
