1. Open the water tank lid.
2. Fill the water tank (9) to the MAX mark
on the water level indicator (8) with fresh,
cold tap water.
3. Insert the filter basket (2) into the appli-
ance.
4. Place the jug (4) on the hotplate (5) so that
the jug lid (3) pushes up the drip guard on
the filter basket (2).
5. Close the water tank lid. It must click au-
dibly into place.
6. Insert the mains plug (6) into a properly
installed and easily accessible socket.

7. The display shows a flashing '12:00'.
8. Use the
(17) and
set the time.
9. Press the
(16) button.
The
symbol lights up and the brew-
ing process starts. When the water has
run through, the symbol turns off.
10. Take out the filled jug and pour away the
water.
11. Repeat the process 1–2 more times,
allowing the coffee maker to cool for
5 minutes each time.
12. Unplug the appliance from the mains
