Error
Renfert deflasking
chisel fails to start;
no sound of com-
pressed air.
Renfert deflasking
chisel fails to start
but compressed
air can be heard.
Renfert deflasking
chisel produces
insufficient power.
Possible cause
• Compressed air supply not
established.
• Ball valve on the Renfert de-
flasking chisel not properly /
fully open.
• Kink in connecting hose.
• No compressed air.
• Insufficient connecting pres-
sure.
• Motor gummed up or
blocked.
• Damaged piston.
• Insufficient connecting pres-
sure.
• Ball valve not fully open.
• Filter in the connector fitting
blocked.
Corrective action
• Check and correct the compressed air
connection.
• Fully open the ball valve.
• Straighten the connecting hose.
• Check the compressed air system and
in case switch the compressor on.
• Increase the connecting pressure to
4 - 6 bar.
• The unit will need to be repaired by our
Service Department.
• The unit will need to be repaired by our

• Fully open the ball valve.
• Clean the filter.
