Connecting the signal source,
Start-up
power on
RECORD [51]
The input of an additional tape recorder, for
example, can be connected to the RECORD
{51] output.
This output always carries the recording sig-
nal selected with REC-OUT [19].
Caution:
When you use this output make sure that no
audio loop is created (feedback), (e.g. play
TAPE 1 and simultaneously record on TAPE 1
via the RECORD output).

When all audio connections have been estab-
lished (signal sources and speakers connect-
ed), you can connect the amplifier to an AC
power outlet by means of the enclosed power
cable.

When you press the POWER [1] button on the
front panel, the REVOX
B250

switches on and the signal source
that was ac-
tive when the amplifier was switched off the
last time is automatically selected. Pressing
the POWER [1] button asecond time switches
the amplifier off (standby).
When the amplifier is switched off but still
connected to the AC power source, it ope-
rates in standby mode which means thatit can
be conveniently
switched
on and off by
means of an infrared remote control from your
listening position.
The power consumption in standby is neglig-
ible (approx.
10 W).
