Taking Care of Your
PortaSound
Your PortaSound will remain in
excellent playing condition if care is
taken concerning the following.
1. When you use AC power or a
car battery, be sure to use the
optional PortaSound adaptors.
Before use, read the adaptor
instructions carefully.
2. The optional car battery adaptor
is only for use with a negative
ground 12V battery. Ensure that
this is the case before
connecting the adaptor.
3. Connections made between the
PortaSound and any other device
should be made with both units
turned off.
4. Do not set the MASTER
VOLUME at MAX when you
connect the PortaSound to a
stereo system. Use the stereo
system's volume control to

PortaSound haben, beachten Sie bitte
die folgenden Punkte.
1. Verwenden Sie fiir Netzbetrieb
ausschlieBlich einen als Sonder-
zubehor lieferbaren PortaSound-
Adapter, und lesen Sie vor der
Verwendung die Bedienungsanleitung
durch.
2. Der als Sonderzubeh6r erhaltliche
Autobatterieadapter ist nur fiir eine
negativ geerdete 12-V-Batterie
geeignet. Vergewissern Sie sich vor
dem Anschliefen des Adapters, ob
dies bei Ihrer Wagenbatterie der Fall
ist.
3. Beim AnschlieBen von PortaSound
an andere Gerate sollten alle Gerate
ausgeschaltet sein.
4. Stellen Sie den MASTER VOLUME-
Regler nicht auf MAX, wenn das
PortaSound an eine Stereo-Anlage

Entretien du
PortaSound
Le PortaSound restera en parfait
état si l'on tient compte des
quelques points suivants.
1. Lors d'une alimentation sur
secteur ou sur la batterie d'une
voiture, veiller a utiliser les
adaptateurs en option, congus
pour le PortaSound. Avant leur
utilisation, lire attentivement leur
mode d'emploi.
2. L'adaptateur de batterie de
voiture en option ne peut étre
utilisé qu'avec une batterie de 12
V a mise a la masse négative.
Confirmer ce point avant de
brancher |'adaptateur sur la
batterie.
3. Avant d'effectuer des branche-
ments entre le PortaSound et
tout autre dispositif électrique,
prendre la précaution de couper
leur alimentation.

Cuidados de su
PortaSound
Su PortaSound permanecera en
excelente condicién si se toman las
siguientes precauciones.
1. Cuando utilice potencia CA o
bateria de automovil, asegurese de
utilizar los adaptadores opcionales
PortaSound. Antes de utilizarlos,
lea cuidadosamente las instrucciones.
2. El adaptador opcional para bateria
del automovil es para utilizarse
unicamente con bateria de tierra
negativa de 12V. Asegtirese de que
