Bemessungsstrommodul

VORSICHT
Beim Austausch des Bemessungsstrommoduls ist sicherzu-
stellen, dass dessen Bemessungsstrom I
dem zulässigen maximalen Bemessungsnennstrom I
Leistungsschalters ist.
Anderenfalls kann es zur thermischen Überlastung des Schal-
ters und ggf. auch der Anlage kommen.
Der kleinste zulässige Bemessungsstrom für Schalter BG III
ist 1250 A.
Das Bemessungsstrommodul bestimmt den Bemessungsstrom
innerhalb eines gewissen Bereiches für eine gegebene Baugröße
des Leistungsschalters.
Wird ein Bemessungsstrommodul für einen Strom gesteckt, der
größer ist, als der maximal zulässige Bemessungsstrom des Lei-
stungsschalters, so wird dieser Fehler von der Elektronik des Über-
stromauslösers erkannt und mit einer blinkenden Anzeige T.U.
ERROR signalisiert.
Der Überstromauslöser ignoriert den vom falschen Bemessungs-
strommodul vorgegebenen Wert für den Bemessungsstrom und
setzt diesen auf den Wert des für die Baugröße des betreffenden
Leistungsschalters kleinsten Bemessungsstrommoduls.
Gleiches passiert, wenn für einen Schalter der Baugröße III ein
Bemessungsstrommodul kleiner 1250 A verwendet wird oder gar
kein Bemessungsstrommodul gesteckt ist. Alle eingestellten
Schutzparameter werden entsprechend angepasst; die Anzeige
T.U. ERROR blinkt.
Wird ein Leistungsschalter ohne Bemessungsstrommodul in Betrieb
genommen, blinkt die Anzeige T.U. ERROR und der Überstromaus-
löser setzt den Bemessungsstrom auf den Wert des für die Bau-
größe des betreffenden Leistungsschalters kleinsten
Bemessungsstrommoduls.

Otherwise a thermal overload of the circuit breaker / installa-
tion can occur.
Minimum permissible rating plug for a circuit breaker of frame
size III is 1250 A.
The rating plug defines the rated current within a specific range for a
given circuit breaker size.
If a rating plug with a higher current than the maximum permissible
circuit breaker rated current is plugged in, the electronic system of
the overcurrent release recognizes this error and signals it with a
flashing indication T.U. ERROR.
The overcurrent release ignores the default value for the rated cur-
rent provided by the false rating plug and adjusts it to the value of
the smallest rating plug provided for the frame size of the circuit bre-
aker concerned.
The same happens if a circuit breaker with frame size III is equipped
with a rating plug smaller than 1250 A. All set protection parameters
are adjusted accordingly; the T.U. ERROR indicator will flash.
If a circuit breaker is started up without a rating plug, the T.U.
ERROR indicator will flash and the overcurrent release sets the
rated current to the value of the smallest rating plug for the frame
size of the circuit breaker used.
