ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION
1.
Your Bedstick is shipped assembled in its closed position with one side of the stick
pointing downwards (See figure 1).
2.
Remove the two tube lock clips (see figure 2) and separate the Bedstick into two
parts.
3.
Rotate the inverted Bedstick section so that both looped handles are upright (see
figure 3).
4.
Remove the mattress from the bed where the Bedstick is to be installed and check
for any obstructions.
5.
Place the Bedstick onto the base of the bed, traversing the width.
6.
Adjust the width of the Bedstick so that both handles are parallel with the side of
the bed base.
7.
Re-insert the tube locks into the pre-punched holes, ensuring that the clip passes
completely through the tube frame and out the other side and is located into the
pre-punched adjustable extension piece (see figure 4).
8.
Check that the unit is properly adjusted by pulling the Bedstick in an outward
movement. If there is just a small degree of movement (up to 4 mm) then the
Bedstick is ready for the completion of the installation.
9.
Move the Bedstick up and down the bed to find the best position for the user to
safely lift themselves.
