INDICATIONS
For lower back conditions that may
benefit from gross motion restriction,
such as:
• Muscular low back pain.
• Sciatica.
• Lumbosacral strains.
• Chronic low back pain.
PERFORMANCE
The device provides lumbar spine
gross motion restriction.
The device reduces stress on the low
back in flexion and extension.
The device provides pain relief.
CONTRAINDICATION
Must not be used by individuals for
whom compression is contraindicated.
WARNINGS • PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
Patients suffering from pelvic floor
weakness should consult with their
medical professional before using the
orthosis.
The orthosis must not be used in
direct contact with a damaged skin.
Do not wear for extended periods
without medical follow-up.
The orthosis is a single patient use
device. Do not use for multiple
patients.

FEATURES OF THE DEVICE
The device is an elastic lumbar support
belt featuring four conformable dorsal
ribs, two ergonomic finger grips to
facilitate fitting and a back cushion.
SET UP AND OPERATION
The first application must be
carried out by a qualified healthcare
professional to understand the correct
fitting and how to put the device on
properly. Subsequently, the product
should be put on the patient in the
same way by the user or a family
member or a friend.
When fitting the or thosis, the
professional should adapt the dorsal
ribs to the patient's morphology.
The belt should be worn under
clothing or over underwear.
1) Open the belt by unfastening the
self-gripping parts from the abdominal
breastplate (see diagram ❶).
2) Based on the medical recommen-
dation, reposition the back cushion
on the lower part of the self-gripping
area (see diagram ❷).
3) Position the lower end of the belt
(where the ribs merge) on top of the
intergluteal cleft using the finger grip
(see diagram ❸). The Gibaud logo
must be upright.
4) Centre the dorsal ribs on either
side of the spinal column.
5) Close the belt, with the Gibaud
logo on the outside (see diagram ❹).

Adapt tightening to the patient's acti-
vity and pain intensity to ensure firm
yet comfortable fastening (see diagram
❺). Make sure to keep the belt in the
position indicated in points 3 and 4.
STORAGE
Store the orthosis away from light,
moisture and extreme heat (including
radiators and tumble dryers).
MAINTENANCE
Preparation for washing:
Close the belt tightly. Keep the
cushion on the belt during washing.
Washing:
Wash gently in warm, soapy water at
30°C (hand or machine wash, delicates
cycle); rinse thoroughly; wring out
gently; do not bleach; lay flat to dry,
do not tumble dry; do not iron; do
not dry clean.
DISPOSAL
The device and packaging must be
disposed of in accordance with local
or national environmental regulations.
