Flying the Easy Street / Den Easy Street Fliegen
The Easy Street 2 is designed as a general use sports model, the type that you can just throw in the back of the car and fly in almost any
weather at short notice. It has flying characteristics somewhere inbetween a sports model and a precision pattern plane. A hand launch is
uneventful and simply requires a straight over arm throw about 10 degrees upwards from level at around 60-75% throttle. Don't be tempted to
launch at full power it simply isn't needed. The aircraft should track through the sky precisely and should be trimmed to fly straight and true
at around 60% power. The ailerons being the full length of the wing are very powerful at a wide array of speeds and give a crisp response for
precision point rolls. The rudder is very effective during stall turns and flicks but due to the sleek fuselage you will need to keep the speed up
whilst knife edge flying. In your first flight gain some height and test the stall characteristics at low power, it is quite benign but will drop
a wing if provoked far enough with a quick recovery when airspeed is regained. The low drag design means the landing circuit benefits from
a smooth wide approach, adding a small amount of power (under 5%) creates some extra drag from the propeller and helps to slow you down
as you glide in. Then gently ease the elevator and the Easy Street 2 will settle in a smooth descent ready for a final power off flair at about
a foot above the floor.
Mit dem Easy Street 2 erhalten Sie ein einfach zu fliegendes Spaßmodell, welches zusammengebaut in jeden Kofferraum passt. Die Flugei-
genschaften sind völlig unkritisch und für Einsteiger und Experten gleichermaßen geeignet.
Für den geübten Modellpilot ist ein hoher Spaßfaktor garantiert, vor allem durch die hohe Steuerfolgsamkeit.
Per Hand-Start leicht nach oben geworfen und mit halber Leistung wird das Modell seinem Element übergeben, Start mit voller Leistung ist
nicht erforderlich und wird auch nicht empfohlen.
Einmal in der Luft lässt sich das Modell sehr präzise und genau durch jede Flugfigur steuern, durch die hohe Richtungsstabilität „geht das
Modell wie auf Schienen".
Die groß ausgelegten Querruder ermöglichen eine hohe Wendigkeit über ein sehr breites Geschwindigkeitsspektrum, selbst engste 3D
Flugfiguren sind damit möglich. Bei 4 -Punktrollen rastet das Modell regelrecht ein.
Alle Ruder wirken sehr effektiv, auch im 3D-Kusntflug, auf Grund des schlanken Rumpfs gelingt Messerfug problemlos.
Ein Strömungsabriss kann im Normalflug kaum erzeugt werden. Im Kunstflug, nach einem gewollten Strömungsabriss, nimmt das Modell le-
diglich die Nase leicht nach unten und holt schnell wieder Fahrt auf. Dieses gutmütige Flugverhalten unterstützt einen sicheren Landanflug.
Im Bodeneffekt, kurz vor dem Aufsetzen, kann der Easy Street 2 lange über der Piste gehalten werden, fast bis zum völligen Stillstand.
