BUILT IN PROPANE GAS HOOK-UP: The piping up to the gas grill is the responsibility of the installer and
piping should be located as shown in the built-in instruc琀椀ons. A 昀氀exible metal connector is included to
simplify the installa琀椀on of the unit. Connect this 昀氀exible metal connector to the 昀氀are 昀椀琀�ng on the end of
the manifold. Connect the other end of the connector to the gas piping. Ensure that the connector does
not pass through a wall, 昀氀oor, ceiling or par琀椀琀椀on, and is protected from damage. Do not use a hose to
connect the unit except to connect the cylinder regulator to the piping system. It must be connected with
rigid pipe, copper tube or an approved 昀氀exible metal connector which complies with na琀椀onal and regional
codes.
The installa琀椀on must comply with na琀椀onal and regional codes. The gas supply pipe must be su昀케ciently
sized to supply the kW input speci昀椀ed on the ra琀椀ng plate, based on the length of the piping run. If
installing a side burner, a separate line must be branched o昀昀 to the side burner unit and enter the side
burner opening at the speci昀椀ed loca琀椀on. If the enclosure is to house a propane cylinder, the tank por琀椀on
of the enclosure must be ven琀椀lated according to local codes, and must not have communica琀椀on with the
cavity used to enclose the gas grill. A propane cylinder can not be stored below the gas grill.
BUILT IN CYLINDER ENCLOSURES: Built in cylinder enclosures which completely enclose the cylinder must
have both of the following:
1. At least one unobstructed ven琀椀la琀椀on opening on the exposed exterior side of the enclosure located
within 127mm of the top of the enclosure. The opening must have a total free area of more than 130 cm
for a cylinder up to 9 kg and 195 cm
2. At least one ven琀椀la琀椀on opening on the exposed, exterior side of the enclosure located 25.4 mm or less
from the 昀氀oor level. The opening must have a total free area of more than 65 cm
and 100 cm
昀氀oor level.
Every opening must be large enough to permit the entrance of a 3.2 mm rod.
