1.1 Open the chin strap (see specific instructions); remove the corresponding chin
strap band from the CHIN PROTECTOR (Fig.24).
1.2 Pass the CHIN PROTECTOR through the slot determined by the CHIN PROTEC-
TOR fastening elastic band to the HELMET LOCK RING, if any (Fig.25).
2 ASSEMBLY
2.1 Pass the CHIN PROTECTOR through the slot determined by the CHIN PROTEC-
TOR fastening elastic band to the HELMET LOCK RING, if any (Fig.25).
2.2 Insert the corresponding chin strap band onto the CHIN PROTECTOR (Fig.24).
Make sure you have properly fixed the CHIN PROTECTOR to the HELMET
LOCK RING, if any, and that the latter does not obstruct the correct assembly
of the chin guard (see instructions above). If not, follow the operations de-
scribed above.
Make sure that the CHIN PROTECTOR does not obstruct the correct retention
system closing and opening (see specific instructions).
WARNING
- Only remove the CHIN PROTECTOR when it has to be cleaned or washed.
- Never use the helmet if the CHIN PROTECTOR has not been reassembled and
properly fitted to the HELMET LOCK RING, if any.
- Carefully wash by hand and use only mild soap and water at 30° C max.
- Rinse using cold water and dry at room temperature, away from direct sunlight.
- Never machine-wash the CHIN PROTECTOR.
- Never use tools or equipment to carry out the operations described above.
SIDE PLATES
When the helmet is configured in a version without the visor or peak, side plates - pro-
vided in the box - should be assembled be fixed to replace them.
1 ASSEMBLY
After completely disassembling the visor or peak from the helmet (see instructions
above), proceed as follows:
1.1 Place the side plate on the visor mechanism (Fig.26).
1.2 Place the side ring on the side plate (Fig.27).
1.3 Assemble the left side cover plate with its cover on the corresponding visor mech-
anism (see instructions above).
1.4 Follow the same operations on the other side of the helmet.
2 DISASSEMBLY
2.1 Disassemble the left side cover plate with its cover from the corresponding visor
mechanism (see instructions above).
2.2 Remove the side ring from the side plate (Fig.27).
2.3 Remove the side plate from the visor mechanism (Fig.26).
2.4 Follow the same operations on the other side of the helmet.
2.5 Reassemble the visor or the peak (see instructions above).
