Mounting
4.1
Guidelines
Mounting on the metal housing base of the control panel or in a separate metal housing.
The circuit board size corresponds with the existing I-BUS modules.
Please refer to Chapter "Grounding and Shielding" in the Instructions for the Installer of the MB-
Secure control panel.
In a housing, which is designed for subsequently installation of a lock, a VdS certified
lock insert (e.g. 028051) has to be installed instead of a plastic cover for systems
according to VdS and EN.
For systems, in which the panel is not conform to the EN guidelines, the EN-markings
have to be removed from the panel.

Mounting in the control panel housing

Mounting in a separate metal housing
When installing the module in a separate housing, use a suitable housing from our catalog.
As per EN only MB-Secure housings are permitted
Permitted cable lenth between panel and module up to 2000 m (see 5.3.2).
Install the PCB
•
Mount the circuit board with the supplied fixing material on the housing base.
•
Screw the corner of the circuit board marked with PE (see fig. above) using a metal screw to the
metal bolt on the housing base.
Required tamper monitoring
For the tamper monitoring the cover contact of the housing and a tear-off protection must be used. The
complete tear-off protection incl. spacers in various lengths is available as accessory, Item no. 055140
(PU = 5 piece). The Mounting Instruction P02916-47-002-xx is included.
Use 2 of the 4 analogue inputs (see chapter 6.3) to connect the cover contact and the tear-off
protection. Program the inputs as tamper detector group.

Mount the circuit board with the supplied fixing material on
the housing base.
•
Screw the corner of the circuit board marked with PE using a
metal screw to the metal bolt on the housing base.
(ZG20, ZG2, ZG3.1 or ZG4).
