FIRST OPERATIONS:
Battery level meter and low battery alert:
Indicates that the battery pack is fully charged.
Blinks when battery is low. Charge the battery pack or replace with fully charged
battery.
Battery installation:
The radio can use the supplied Li-Ion/NiMH battery pack or 3 AA alkaline batteries (not
supplied). The radio beeps when the battery is low.
Installing the Li-Ion/NiMH battery pack or 3 x AA alkaline batteries:
1. Remove the belt clip.
2. Unlock the battery cover latch and remove the battery cover.
3. Insert the Li-Ion/NiMH battery pack or alkaline batteries by following the instruction
on the batteries.
4. Close the battery cover firmly.
Using the Micro-USB charger cable:
1. Make sure your radio is OFF.
2. Plug the Micro-USB charger cable into the desktop battery charger port or into
Micro-USB charging port of the radio and the other USB port of the cable into
output of AC/DC adapter (not included) that supplies a voltage of 5 VDC/1 A (e.g.
mobile phone charger).
3. Plugging the AC/DC adapter into a nearby and easily accessible 230 VAC wall
outlet.
4. The LED indicator on the desktop battery charger lights up when the battery is
charging mode and turns off when the charging is complete.
Note:
- The power off device of the desktop battery charger is the AC/DC adapter.
Installing and removing the belt clip:
1. To install the belt clip: Attach the belt clip to the back of the radio until it clicks into
place.
2. To remove the belt clip: Push the release tab on top of the belt clip to release and
pull the belt clip away from the back of the radio.
