The time must be entered for the alarm to function properly. For more details,

When an alarm is active, an alarm symbol appears on the display.
10.2.2 Switching off the alarm after being woken up
> Press the On/Standby button on the remote control to switch the alarm off.
If you want to activate the snooze function, press the OK button repeatedly
when the alarm is active.

10.3 Equaliser

You can use the Equaliser to adjust the sound according to your preferences.
> Press the MENU button and use the  /  buttons to select [Sound Settings]
> [Equaliser].
