5.2 Handling and positioning

The appliance must be positioned on a stable and level surface.
Ensure that, from the point of view of the overall dimensions (see Table 1 - Section 9), the space
provided for the appliance allows its correct use and easy servicing as indicated in section 6.
ATTENTION!

Remove the appliance from the packaging, be sure to follow the instructions in section 4 (En-
vironmental notes) with regard to the storage and disposal of the packaging materials;

While always keeping the appliance level, move and position it on a stable and correctly lev-
elled surface (the height of the legs can be adjusted to compensate for any uneven surfaces).
In order to avoid damage to the compressor and cooling system, never tilt the
appliance more than 45° during transport and positioning.
After transport or handling, wait at least 4 hours after the appliance has been
positioned before switching it on. This will allow the compressor oil to level and
prevent it from entering the cooling circuit, causing irreversible damage to the
compressor and the evaporator.

Never place the appliance on a flammable surface (e.g. carpet, rugs, tablecloths, etc.);

Do not position the appliance near open flames, electric cookers, ovens or other sources of
heat, such as, for example, places exposed to direct sunlight. Heat can damage the surface of
the appliance and adversely affect its operation;

Position the appliance so that the sides and rear are always at least 15 cm from walls, furni-
ture and other objects. This is to ensure good air circulation and easier access to all parts of
the appliance as well as to provide the necessary space for its operation;

The appliance must not be built into furniture or masonry walls;

Do no drill holes into the appliance or attach objects to it;

The appliance must not be used if it is out of order, damaged or has suffered impacts;

To avoid hazardous situations for the user do not use accessories or spare parts which differ
from those recommended by the manufacturer. The appliance could be damaged or prove to
be a risk for the health and life of individuals.
ATTENTION! If incorrectly positioned, the appliance is not enabled for operation.

5.3 Use


Clean the appliance before its first use (see section 6 - Cleaning and servicing);

Insert the pans and separators according to the dimensions and quantities intended for each
model of the display case (see Table.1 - Section 9). Do not switch on the appliance without
pans, otherwise the appliance will never reach the temperature set point and the compressor
could be damaged;

Insert the plug into an individually interlocked protected electric socket in compliance with the
regulations;

All food must be closed in suitable food pans, only after the appliance has reached the operat-
ing temperature set on the control unit (see paragraph 5.4 - Operation).
