5. Both control lamps are now on. Once the set temperature
has been reached the green HEAT control lamp (3) goes
off. The red control lamp remains on and indicates the
machine is working. Remove the lid and place the frying
basket/baskets containing the food to be fried carefully into
the hot. Place the lid back in position.
6. The green control lamp switches on and off several times
during frying. This is normal and it indicates that the
temperature is controlled by the thermostat and is being
maintained. Once the frying time is over (the frying times are
to be found on the packaging of the food or in the recipe),
please take out the frying basket.
7. Please allow the oil to drain a little from the food being fried
by suspending the frying basket or baskets on the edge of
the frying fat container.
8. In order to switch off the machine, please turn the tempera-
ture regulator to O and remove the plug from the socket.
Cleaning
WARNING:
The device must never be immersed in water!
Always remove the mains lead before cleaning!
1. Wait until the deep fryer is completely cool before cleaning.
Wait in any case for 1 to 2 hours after use before using
again to avoid burns.
2. Pull the control device (5) out by lifting it. In order to change
the oil, pull the frying fat container out and pour the oil out to
the side.
3. Clean the deep frying fat container, the lid and the housing
with a damp clothand household detergent if necessary.
Never immerse the lid in water.
4. The frying baskets can be cleaned in the usual manner in
soapy water.
5. Avoid using abrasive materials or sharp objects. These may
damage the deep fryer!
6. Reassemble the deep fryer and push the control device (5)
back into the guide mechanism.
Changing the Odour and Fat Vapour Filter
Press the clamp of the filter cover inwards and remove it by
pulling it forwards.
Replace the filter.
Then reassemble the cover.
NOTE:
When these filters have been used up it is possible to cut
universal filters to size, e.g. from cooker hoods.

Troubleshooting
Device is not working
Troubleshooting:
Check the mains connection.
Check the position of the thermostat.
Other possible causes:
The device is fitted with a safety switch (1).
This prevents the heater being switched on accidentally.
Troubleshooting:
Check that the control element is correctly in place.

Overheating Protection

If you should accidentally switch on your deep fat fryer
when there is no oil or fat in it the overheating protection is
automatically turned on. The appliance is no longer ready to
be used. Unplug the deep fryer.
Only after the device has been left to cool down completely
should the „RESET" button (11) on the rear of the control
element be operated in order to use the deep fat fryer again.
Please use a pointed object for this purpose.
