Intended Users
The lice comb is only suitable for combing human hair of people of all ages.
Indications
The lice comb is used to kill and remove lice and/or nits in the event of a lice/nit infestation on a
person's head.
Clinical benefit
The lice comb quickly and effectively kills and removes lice and nits without the use of chemical
agents.
Contraindications
• Do not use the device on birthmarks or the scalp if the skin is broken.
• Do not use the device on persons with heart conditions, epilepsy or pacemakers.
• People with heart conditions, epilepsy or pacemakers must also not operate the device on other
people.
Undesired side effects
• People with a sensitive scalp may experience slight tingling or itching during use. This is normal
and not harmful to your health.
• Skin contact with the metal teeth during use may result in painful but harmless electrical
impulses.
• The metal tines may cause injuries.
If used on several people:
• risk of transmitting live lice
• Cross infection of germs from a person being treated to another person

4. Warnings and safety notes

General warnings
• Use the device on dry, combed hair only.
• Do not use the comb if the metal tines are deformed as this may cause a short circuit in the
comb.
• Keep packaging material away from children. Danger of suffocation!
• Do not allow children to play with the device.
• If the lice comb has been used on an animal, it must then never be used on humans.
• Store the device out of the reach of children.
• Children must always be supervised by an adult when using the device.
• After each use, clean the comb thoroughly using the cleaning brush – particularly before using
the device on another person. For further information, see the chapter on cleaning and mainte-
nance.
• If the lice comb is used by several people in succession without being cleaned properly, it may
cause the transmission of diseases, such as mycoses (fungal disease).
• During use, ensure that the comb does not come into contact with the mouth, eyes or ears.
• Do not touch the metal teeth when the device is switched on
• This device can be used by children over the age of 12 and by people with reduced physi-
cal, sensory or mental skills or people lacking experience or knowledge, provided that they are
supervised or have been instructed on how to use the device safely and are aware of the con-
sequent risks of use.
• Never operate the device during maintenance work.
