10.3.2 Option: Installing humidity control
For retrofitting only
f To detach the filter holder from a flush-mounted enclo-
sure, turn the screws of the masonry claws anti-clockwise.
To detach the filter holder from a surface-mounted enclo-
sure, turn the 4 screws anti-clockwise.
f remove the filter holder.
f Undo the screw securing the terminal box cover to the fan
unit.
Installing humidity control
There is a cable in the fan unit terminal box.
f Plug the cable from the humidity control PCB into the
socket labelled "eBM".
f Lay the PCB flat in the terminal box. A recess is provided
on the left-hand side of the PCB to prevent the cable from
becoming trapped.
f Carefully push the PCB as far as it will go into the terminal
box.
f The cable grommet has a notch and knock-out for rout-
ing the sensor lead. Push the sensor lead into the cable
grommet.
10.3.3 Closing the terminal box cover
f Close the fan unit terminal box with the cover provided.
f Use a screw to secure the terminal box cover.

10.4 Installing the filter holder

First installation only
f rotate the internal panel 45°.
f Pull the internal panel away from the filter holder.
f remove the filter from the filter holder.

Only if a humidity control is installed
f Use a screwdriver to break the predetermined breaking
point on the filter holder for the sensor head.
Flush-mounted appliance
f only if a humidity control is installed: Push the sensor
head on the back of the filter holder into the opening you
just created.
f To fasten the filter holder to the wall cut-out, tighten
the screws of the masonry claws clockwise. If you do not
tighten the screws of the masonry claws, the filter holder
may come loose when the internal panel is pulled off.
since there does not need to be a connection between the
flush-mounted enclosure and the fan unit, it does not matter
if the enclosure is installed too deeply. The claws of the filter
holder ensure a good grip with the enclosure, brickwork or
plaster.
Surface-mounted appliance
f Carefully push the surface-mounted enclosure onto the
base plate.
f Unscrew the four screws securing the masonry claws to
the filter holder.
f remove the rubber ring tensioned around the four ma-
sonry claws.
f remove the masonry claws.
f only if a humidity control is installed: Push the sensor
head on the back of the filter holder into the opening you
just created.
f Use the previously removed screws to secure the filter
holder to the surface-mounted enclosure.

10.5 Installing the internal panel

f Mount the filter on the filter holder.
f Fit the internal panel on the filter holder.
f rotate the internal panel 45°.
11. Commissioning
observe the applicable standard regarding the minimum ex-
tract air flow rate. In Germany, dIN 18017-3 applies.
Change the air flow rates on the appliance if required. see
chapter "settings / Time programs and air flow rate".
