10. Installation
Installation position
1 Check valve spring
If you install the appliance in such a way that the air outlet is in
the lower half, you must hook the spring of the check valve into
the third hole. This increases the spring tension. This increases
the spring tension.
To prevent the spread of flue gases in appliances that extract
into a duct, install a height offset of 30 cm in the pipe run.
10.1 Flush-mounted appliance
Property damage
!
You can install the flush-mounted enclosure during
initial building works. A plaster protection cover is in-
cluded in the standard delivery to protect against dirt.
f Insert the plaster protection cover after installing
the flush-mounted enclosure.
do not remove the plaster protection cover until you
fit the fan unit into the flush-mounted enclosure.
10.1.1 Option: Fire safety
If fire protection measures are specified, use the flush-mounted
enclosure made of fire protection material. see chapter "Ap-
pliance description".
In addition, it must be ensured that the fire cannot spread
through the air outlet of the appliance and into the main duct
of the building.
Fire protection is achieved through a height offset of 300 mm
between the air outlet from the appliance and the connection
to the main duct. The height offset causes cold air to collect in
the ventilation pipe upstream of the check valve.
