Installation
f Push the sealing lip provided onto the back edge of the
base plate. Place the tip of the sealing lip in the insulation
material at the air discharge. The length of the sealing lip
may vary slightly due to temperature fluctuations. If the
sealing lip is too short, carefully stretch it to the required
length. If the sealing lip is too long, trim off the excess
material.
The appliance must be in full contact with the wall in the area
of the air outlet. on the back of the mounting plate are oval
supports. In the area of the discharge aperture, the ovals are
slightly shorter than the ovals in the corners. If the enclosure
is not in full contact with the wall, you can break out the ovals
attached to the enclosure with thin link pieces and fit them to
the supports on the discharge aperture.
f Install the enclosure mounting plate using the rawl plugs
and screws provided so that the discharge aperture lines
up with the wall outlet opening of the extract air pipe.

f secure the fan unit on the mounting plate using the screw
provided.
Minimum cable cross-section: 3 x 1.5 NYM-J
f Push the power cable into the enclosure. The power cable
must protrude 30 cm into the enclosure.
f seal the shadow gap between the base plate and wall
with silicone.

10.3 Electrical connection

Carry out all electrical connection and installation
work in accordance with national and regional reg-
ulations.

The connection to the power supply must be in the
form of a permanent connection. Ensure the appli-
ance can be separated from the power supply over
an isolating distance of at least 3 mm on all poles.

To ensure that no smoke or gas can enter the build-
ing in the event of a fire, it must be possible to switch
off the power supply. Install a separate power supply
for the appliance.

10.3.1 Connecting the fan
Appliances operated together with the fan can cause faults. In
the case of individual room connections, we also recommend
using 2-pole switches for ventilation control.
The appliance must be connected via a separate fuse.
The appliance is double insulated to protection class II. An
earth conductor connection is not required.
Minimum cable cross-section: 3 x 1.5 NYM-J
Prepare the end of the power cable by stripping the sheath
and insulation.
