Description
Location and Connection
Remove all packaging material and keep out of reach of children. After removing packaging, check the appliance
for damage or other signs that could indicate a fault/defect/malfunction. In case of doubt, do not use the
appliance, but contact your vendor for inspection or replacement.
Freestanding:
Choose a suitable location for the heater which is at least one metre away from any obstructions, walls or
inflammable materials (see also safety instructions).
Make sure a functioning heater is always placed on a solid, flat and horizontal surface. Do not place the
heater on an uneven surface, such as a bed or sofa, and not on deep-pile carpet.
Check if the control dial is set to 'OFF' (O).
Fully extend the power cord and plug into a suitable 230V socket. To prevent the circuit overloading, check
that no other appliances are connected to the same group.
Wall mounting
The heater can also be wall-mounted. When wall-mounting the heater, the following points must be complied
with:
• Make sure the wall is totally vertical, sturdy, flat and incombustible, i.e. not timber, plasterboard, chipboard,
synthetic material or the like. When installing the heater, make sure there are no pipes or cables in the wall
that might be damaged.
• The heater should not be suspended from a ceiling or similar structure!
• Do not position the heater directly under, over, next to or in front of a power point.
• Make sure there is a minimum distance of 120 cm between the heater and the floor, 50 cm between the
heater and the ceiling and incombustible side walls, and a minimum of 120 cm between the heater and
on to the two horizontal screws, with the handle located up. Make sure that the protruding
screws fit snugly into the narrow part of the hanging 'eyes'.
• On the wall, draw the location where the drill hole for the locking plate is to be made.
• Take the heater off the wall, drill the hole in the location indicated and insert a wall-plug.
• Hang the heater back on the wall and screw the final screw through the locking plate into the wall. Check to see
that the heater is firmly attached and is hanging fully horizontally. Only then may you operate the heater.
All of the safety instructions also apply to a heater that is already mounted!

combustible objects such as cupboards, shelves,
combustible side walls, curtains, furniture, etc. The
flow of air from the heater must not be obstructed in
any way.
When you have found a suitable location, install the
heater as follows:
• Drill two holes in the wall, 162 mm from each other and
exactly horizontal with each other. Insert one of the
wall-plugs provided into each hole and screw in one of
the (large) screws until 5 mm of the screw + the screw
head are left projecting from the wall.
• Use the small screw to attach the small locking plate
supplied to the rear of the heater, lower middle, into
the hole provided (see illustration).
• Now hang the heater with the two
hanging 'eyes' (top rear of heater)
