WALL-MOUNTED EV CHARGER
Ex9EVD3 T2
Revision
The revision is carried out in the standard way, except that it is not possible to perform a dielectric strength test (more than 500V). The charging station
contains sensitive measuring circuits related to ground (PE). This is made possible by the standard IEC 61851-1 (note under points 11.4 and 11.7)
and IEC 61851-22 (note under point 10.2).
In relation with the previous statement, the insulation test result can be done in the standard way (500V DC), but the resulting measured value is
less than 1 MΩ.
If the input power leads (L1, L2, L3 and N) are connected and measured in reference to PE, then the reading should be 274 kΩ. If the output power
leads (L1, L2, L3 and N) are connected and measured in reference to PE, then the reading should be 352 kΩ. And if all the power leads are connected
and measured in reference to PE, then the reading should be 154 kΩ.)
Wallbox operation
Check the Wallbox for visible external damage. Do not use the charging station if it is damaged.
You can put the charging station into operation by turning on the circuit breakers.
The maximum value of the charging current is 16A (11kW) or 32A (22kW), the minimum value of the charging current is 6A.
The
red LED
on the charging station should light up for the first 2 seconds indicating initialization in progress.
Before charging, it is possible to select the desired value of the charging current using the RGB button and LED lights on the side of the station.
If the available current for charging the electric car is lower than 32A, or if two electric cars are required to be charged at the same time, set the
required charging current in the vehicle or at the charging station. This step is not required if the charging station is equipped with a measuring circuit
for automatic regulation.
The plug can now be connected to the vehicle.
Once the vehicle is connected, it is no longer possible to change the required charging current manually at the charging station.
It is important to set the correct charging speed before connecting the charging station to the vehicle. Otherwise, the circuit breaker may trip.
The charging station can signal several states before, during or after the charging process, namely
Solid
green LED
means ready to charge.
A solid
blue LED
indicates that charging is in progress.
A flashing LED indicates a problem that may be present
Blinking
green/orange
LED – may affect charging speed:
1x – a problem with the main switching elements in the EVSE
2x – undervoltage or missing phase
3x – possible network connection problem
4x – high temperature
5x – insufficient power
The
red LED
flashing - charging will be stopped:
1x – a problem with the main switching elements in the EVSE
2x – a problem with the circuit breaker
3x – neutral wire problem
4x – overvoltage
5x – very high temperature
6x – unsupported charging mode
Disconnecting charging
Do not disconnect the Wallbox during charging.
Before disconnecting, first stop the charging of the vehicle.
If necessary, release the latch in the vehicle's charging port.
Disconnect the charging station cable from the vehicle.
Then close the charging port cover.
Problem solving
If charging slows down or stops suddenly, check the vehicle's on-board system for an error condition.
Check the signaling LED on the Charging Station (see Using the Charging Station - status signaling).
If high temperature is the cause of the problem, it will stop charging until the Charging Station cools down, or cooling it directly may help. If this ha-
ppens regularly, contact the seller.
In some cases - if charging has stopped - it may help to disconnect the charging station from the car or reset it using the circuit breaker.
Regulations and standards
In particular, the following regulations and standards must be observed
Directive 2014/35/EU
Standard EN 61851-1
Standard EN 61851-22
