3. REMOTE ACCESS
3.1

AUTHORISATION CODE

Your AUDIOLINE 818G has personal access authorisation so that only you can listen
to incoming messages using the remote access facility. The authorisation code is a
three-digit number and can be found on the underside of your unit (Remote Code).
3.2

TOLL-FREE REMOTE PRE-ACCESS

Using the toll-free remote pre-access facility, you can find out whether there are any
messages on your answering machine without incurring any charges.
Set the slide control to the "TS" position. If you now call your machine
when you are away, the answering machine answers as follows:
A. If your call is answered after 2 rings, there are messages on your AUDIOLINE
818G and you can continue as described under 3.3.
B. If no messages have been recorded, your call will not be answered after 2 rings.
Put the receiver down directly after the third ring as your answering machine will
switch on as normal after the sixth ring. In this way, you can save call charges.
