6 Commissioning
6.1 Commissioning the product
 Verify that the product has been properly mounted and electrically con-
nected.
1. Apply voltage via the on-site mains fuse.
- The green LED is on.
2. Perform the function test.
6.2 Performing the function test
Perform the function test at the following occasions:
• After each commissioning
• After each alarm
• Once per year during maintenance
 Note on the simulation: 
All output contacts are switched. 
Notify all personnel involved that the alarm is a test alarm when you are
going to perform a simulation.
6.2.1 Performing the function test at the product
1. Press the Test key.
- The red LED lights up and the audible alarm sounds
Release the Test key to terminate the function test at the control unit.
6.2.2 Performing the function test via the signal transmitter
Set the signal transmitter to an alarm condition.
- The red LED lights.
- The audible alarm sounds.
Terminate the alarm condition of the signal transmitter.
- The audible alarm and the visual alarm must switch off automatically.
