5.3.3 Voltage-free changeover contact
VOLTAGE PEAKS WHEN INDUCTIVE CONSUMERS ARE SWITCHED OFF
When inductive consumers are switched off, this can cause voltage peaks and
can lead to adverse effects on electrical systems and may destroy the switching
contact.
• Use commercially available standard RC combinations such as
0.1 μF/100 Ohm for inductive consumers.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in equipment damage.
The alarm condition of the product is made available via a voltage-free
relay contact (changeover contact).
1. Replace the centre rubber piece by a suitable cable guide.
- Use the supplied cable gland.
- The cable for the alarm signal must be routed separately.
2. Connect the additional equipment to the connection terminals "Alarm"
or the connection terminals "Alarm Quit." (AG 12 only).
- Refer to the operating instructions of the manufacturer of the additional
equipment for further information.
