• If warm, allow the battery to
cool before charging.
• Do not open the battery and
avoid mechanical damage to
the battery. There is a risk of a
short circuit and vapours may
leak out, causing irritation to
the respiratory tract. Seek fresh
air and also seek medical assis-
tance in case of complaints.
• Do not use any non-rechargea-
ble batteries. The device could
become damaged.
Correct handling of the
charger
• This device can be used by chil-
dren aged 8 years and up as
well as individuals with reduced
physical, sensory or mental abil-
ities or a lack of experience and
knowledge if they are supervised
or have been instructed in the
safe use of the device and un-
derstand the resulting hazards.
Children must never play with
the device. Cleaning and user
maintenance must not be carried
out by children if they are not
supervised.
• Only use the charger provided
to charge the battery. Risk of
fi re and explosion.
• Before each use, check the
charger, cable and plug, and
have repairs carried out by
qualifi ed personnel using only
original spare parts. Do not use
the charger if defective and do
not open it yourself. This ensures
the safety of the device is not ad-
versely affected.
• Make sure that the mains volt-
age matches the details on the
charger's type plate. Risk of
electric shock.
• Disconnect the charger from
the mains supply before closing
or opening connections to the
power tool. This ensures the re-
chargeable battery and charger
are not damaged.
• Keep the charger clean and
away from moisture and rain.
Never use the charger outdoors.
Soiling and penetration of wa-
ter increases the risk of electric
shock.
• The charger may only be used
with the corresponding original
rechargeable batteries. Charg-
ing other batteries can lead to
injuries and the risk of fi re.
• Avoid mechanical damage to
the charger. This can lead to in-
ternal short circuits.
• The charger must not be operat-
ed on or in the immediate vicin-
ity of fl ammable surfaces (e.g.
paper, textiles). Risk of fi re due
to heating caused by charging.
