BOILING WATER

1. Always remove the kettle from the socket before filling it with water. Open the
lid to fill it with water.
2. Do not fill the device beyond the MAX upper limit (Fig. 2). Boiling water may spurt
out.
3. Return the kettle to its base.
4. Turn the on/off switch to position I. The ready light comes on. The boiling
process begins.
Attention! Never open the lid, or remove the kettle from the base while you
are boiling water.
5. Once the water has come to a boil, the kettle shuts off automatically. The on/off switch flips back to
position 0. The ready light goes out.
6. You may interrupt the heating process manually at any time. Just turn the on/off switch to position 0.
7. For optimal enjoyment, we recommend the following tea infusion temperatures and times:

Attention! Do not prepare your tea directly in the electric kettle!

BOIL-DRY PROTECTION

• If there is not enough water in the kettle, the device turns itself off automatically. However, make
sure there is always enough water in the kettle, because repeated automatic shut-off shortens the
service life of your electric kettle.
• Let the device cool off completely before you refill it with water.

CLEANING AND CARE

• Warning - Risk of electric shock! Unplug the product and let it cool down completely before
cleaning. Never immerse electrical parts of the product in water during cleaning or operation. Never
hold the product under running water.
• Warning - Property damage! When cleaning, never use solvents or abrasive materials, hard
brushes, metallic or sharp objects. Solvents are harmful to human health and can attack plastic
parts, while abrasive cleaning mechanisms and tools may scratch the surface(s).
• Clean the product's exterior surfaces with a slightly damp cloth and then dry them thoroughly.
• Make sure that no water enters the product interior (for example, through the switch) or the base.
• Keep the product in a dry, cool location which is protected against moisture and direct sunlight.
Keep this product out of the reach of children.
