Addendum to the "tow bar" manual from the assortment of original Škoda accessories; Order-No.
5E0 092 155 / Z1045E0606 / Z1045E0605
In case of subsequent installation of the tow bar 5E0 092 155 / Z1045E0606 / Z1045E0605 for car series Octavia 5E3*L* 1,4TSI
103 kW (does not apply to the "Station Wagon"), it is necessary that you ensure 100% safety and operability when starting to
operate the vehicle along with the trailer and in order to do so, you must follow the steps listed below.
1.
In addition, attach the rear spoiler 5E5 071 605B. This part must be ordered from the original Škoda accessories
assortment; then proceed with the assembly according to the accompanying installation instructions.
2.
Remove the aerodynamic cover behind the rear axle - Fig.1 (No. 1), including the bracket (No. 2). Note: The left screw
(No. 3), when facing driving direction, must be retightened with a torque of 10 Nm after removal.
3.
Remove the aerodynamic cover of the tunnel behind the engine - Fig.2. Proceed with the removal and installation
according to the ELSA workshop manual.
4.
Remove the left aerodynamics cover in front of the rear axle, when facing driving direction (Fig. 3). Proceed with the
removal and installation according to the ELSA workshop manual.
5.
In addition, the aerodynamic cover 5Q0 825 229C must be attached under the tunnel (Fig. 4). Please use 4 spacer rivets
N 0385494 by assembly. The parts must be ordered from the original Škoda accessories assortment; proceed with the
removal and installation according to the ELSA workshop manual.

In addition, attach the rear spoiler 5E5 071 605B. This part must be ordered from the original Škoda accessories
assortment; then proceed with the assembly according to the accompanying installation instructions.
2.
Replace both tailgate dampers of the trunk lid with 2 tailgate dampers of series 5E5 827 550L - for vehicles without rear
window wiper (PR-8M0); and use 2 tailgate dampers of series 5E5 827 550N - for vehicles with rear window wiper (PR-
8M1). These parts must be ordered from the original Škoda accessories assortment; proceed with the removal and
installation according to the ELSA workshop manual.
3.
Remove the aerodynamic cover behind the rear axle - Fig.1 (No. 1), including the bracket (No. 2). Note: The left screw
