Es ist gleichgültig aus welcher Richtung der nächste Zug
kommt, da er immer zuerst einen Kontakt erreicht, der
über das Relais (Art. 5552) den in Fahrtrichtung ersten
markierten Kontakt auf den Anschluss für Schließen und
den zweiten auf den Anschluss für Öffnen schaltet.

Die Ansteuerung der Schranken kann bei einer zwei-
gleisigen Strecke, wo jedes Gleis in nur einer
Richtung befahren wird, mit zwei Kontaktgleisen pro
Schienenstrang realisiert werden. Die Kontakte für das
Öffnen der Schranken (also die, welche an das blaue Kabel
mit der roten Markierung angeschlossen werden) müssen
über die in Reihe geschalteten Kontakte beider Relais
(z. B. Art. 5552) angeschlossen werden. Damit wird sicher-
gestellt, dass die Schranken nur dann geöffnet werden,
wenn bei sich kreuzenden Zügen auch der zweite Zug den
Bahnübergang bereits verlassen hat.
Schließen Sie den Schrankendecoder gemäß Abb. 8 an,
wobei Sie anstelle der Reed-Kontakte ein Schaltgleis
verwenden.

It is immaterial from which side the following train arrives
since it will always first pass the contact setting the direc-
tional relay (item 5552) and thus the contacts for lowering

Automatic control of the barriers on a double track
mainline with trains travelling only in one
direction on each track can be realized with two
contacts per track. The contacts for raising the barriers
(the ones connected to the blue cable with the red marker)
must be wired in series through the appropriate contacts
of the directional relay (e. g. item 5552). This assures that
the barriers can only be raised when opposing trains have
both vacated the level crossing.
The correct wiring of the decoder for the barriers is shown
in fig. 8 except for substituting the reed contacts with the
switching track.
