Connection Principle

The ConnectModule is electrically connected in the cable
between the operating unit/display holder and the drive unit.
Installation on BDU33xx Drive Unit
Removing the Left Design Cover

Loosen the two screws (8) and unscrew them.
– Torx T20 screwdriver
The left design cover (9) is clipped into the right design
cover (10) at 2 points. Carefully remove the left design
cover.

Connecting the HMI Cable
Note: Observe the colour coding and alignment of the plugs
and sockets when connecting the cables.

Disconnect the cable (12) of the operating unit/display
holder on the drive unit (13) from the connection (11).
Connect the HMI cable (5) to the connection (11) that has
become free.
Note: To avoid electrical faults, the individual cables of the
battery cable (14) must not split up. To this end, where ap-

plicable, disconnect the battery cable on the drive unit (13),
twist the battery cable by a maximum of one turn and recon-
nect the battery cable, or amalgamate the individual cables
with a cable tie or adhesive tape.
