Designated use

Delphi injectors and Denso injectors are tested with
the same procedure in EPS 200 / EPS 205 as for
Bosch injectors. This procedure may differ from the
specifications of the other manufacturer.
This accessory set contains an adapter accessory (me-
chanical connection adapters and electrical adapter ca-
bles) to connect and test the most common Delphi and
Denso passenger vehicle solenoid valve injectors (here-
inafter referred to as CRI) with EPS 200 / EPS 205.
The EPS 200 / EPS 205 database contains sample test
routines for testing Delphi CRI and Denso CRI (Delphi:
EJBRxxxxxx and Denso: 095000xxx...). These sample
test routines contain test steps predefined by Robert
Bosch GmbH without set value and tolerance data for
the injection and return quantities. This information
must be determined by the tester or taken from data
sheets and added to the test steps. Opening and ed-
iting a test routine is described in the Online Help for
EPS 200 / EPS 205.

The sample test routines for Denso injectors have a
resistance value at the end of the type part number
(e.g. 095000 xxx_ >1ohm). This resistance value cor-
responds to the coil resistance of the injector. The
appropriate sample test routine should be selected
depending on the coil resistance of the injector.

Prerequisite

Tester for nozzle-and-holder assemblies and injectors
EPS 200 / EPS 205.

Good knowledge of the functioning of CRIs and
the handling and creation of test routines using the
EPS 200 system software.
R
Only check cleaned and complete CRIs.
R
Do not clamp and test damaged and/or heavily cor-
roded CRIs.
R
Only check CRIs with a coil resistance
Coil resistance: The resistance of the solenoid inside the sole-

noid valve of the injector.

Training

This accessory set is provided for trained special-
ist personnel with operational knowledge of the
EPS 200 / EPS 205 and knowledge of injector testing
in diesel workshops. They must have completed a
training course on "Testing and repairing CRIs" at the
AA training center. The operating instructions must be
thoroughly read and observed for your own safety and
to prevent damage to the equipment through improper
handling.
