3. The index (R) on the tilting scale (U)
should be in the 0° position now. Now
lock the turning part of the base plate
with the locking screw (W).
4. Now use a right angle to test whether
the saw blade is in a precise 90° angle
to the base plate.
5. If the position of the saw blade must
be corrected, this is done by adjusting
the stopping screws. After adjusting
the position, tighten the screw and
hold in place. Fix this position with the
counter nut.
6. With a set square or a protractor the
45° position of the saw blade can be
checked and adjusted.
7. Tilt the saw blade until it hits the 45°
stop and adjust it in the same way as
described above. Use the 45° stop
screw on the right side of the rear
hinge until the angle is correct.

Changing the Saw Blade

1. It is advisable to wear gloves
when handling the saw blade to
avoid injury.
2. To change the saw blade, the
connecting pole (C) of the mobile
safety hood (D) must be partly
removed.
3. First, remove the screw a, and
remove the connecting pole and
the guide ring from the hood.
4. Open the screw b far enough to
swing the pressing board (part no.
65) down clear of the screw.
