REMOVING AND FITTING THE CASSETTE HOUSING
e Removal
1. Set the unit to the "CASSETTE EJECT" mode, as
when removing a cassette.
2. Remove the connector on the right of the cas-
settte housing (take care not to break the wire).
3. Remove the 2 cassette housing fixing screws.
4. Slide the cassette housing in the direction shown
by arrow A in Figure 4, and pull directly upwards.

Notes:
1. During assembly and removal, take care not to hit
the nearby guide pins and drum.
2. During assembly and removal, take care to discon-
nect the plug.
e Assembly
1. Connect
the
connector
on
the
right of the
cassette housing.
2. Insert the catch of the cassette
housing
into
mechanism
chassis
B, and fix temporarily
by
sliding in the direction shown by arrow B.
3. Check
that
the
cassette
housing
is in its
designated position, and secure with the 2 screws
(XHPS330PO6WSO).
4. Arrange the lead wires to the connector on the
right of the cassette housing.
RUNNING A TAPE WITHOUT
THE CASSETTE
HOUSING
1. Open the video cassette tape cover manually, and
fix the cover with adhesive tape before operation.
2. Set the video cassette tape with the cover open in
the mechanism. Place a sufficient weight (approx.
500g) on top of the cassette tape to make it stable
and prevent it from rising up.
N.B.) Do not use a weight greater than 500g.
REEL REPLACEMENT
AND HEIGHT CHECK
e Removal
(Supply Reel)
1.Remove the tension band.
2 .Remove the slit washer (1).
3-.Remove the clearance adjustment washer (2).
4 .Lift the supply reel (3) upwards to remove, and
replace.

(Take-up Reel)
1. Remove the counter belt (6).
2 .Remove the slit washer (1).
3.Remove the clearance adjustment washer (2).
4.Lift the take-up reel (4) upwards to remove, and
replace.
Notes:
1. When assembling, always adjust the reel height.
2 . Take care not to deform the tension band during
removal or assembly.
3.Take care not to deform the auxiliary brake bar.
4.Check and adjust the tension pole position.
5. The reels engage with the catch on the reel unit
slip plate. Assemble by gently rotating the reel
manually.
* At the same time, remove and clean the height ad-
justment washers (5).
