Recording from stereo system
Set the Power switch @) to ON and the cassette tape with the side
to be recorded facing toward you.
. Set the Tape
select switches (8) and
, Matching
them
to tape
to be recorded.
. Calibrate the signal level so that it is correctly decoded.
. Set the Monitor switch @) to SOURCE.
. Set the Dolby NR switch @% , matching it to source to be recorded.
. Adjust the Record level controls
(5) or
so that the pointers of the
Level meters
and (2 do not 0 dB at maximum input.
. Press the reset button of the Tape counter @)to set it to "000".
. Press the Record
and Playback button @§) simultaneously.
. Press the Pause button @3) to stop the tape temporary during recording.
When the Playback button @6) is pressed, recording starts.
To stop the recording for the short time, press the Edit button @ .
Recording will be stopped while pressing this button.

After a tape is fully recorded,
''Full auto stop'' mechanism
engages
to stop the tape automatically.
To stop recording at any other time, press the Stop button @) .
Recording from microphone
Insert two microphones into the microphone sockets 61) and @2 .
Carry out the following procedure the same
as for recording from a
stereo system.
For monaural recording, connect one microphone plug to the microphone
socket @2 .

Operate the same as is described in items 1 to 5 of "Recording from
stereo system"'.
Insert the microphones into the Microphone sockets 61) and @2 .
Adjust the recording level so that the pointers of the Level meters (0)
and (2 do not 0 dB at maximum input.
The recording level from the microphone is adjusted with the Recording
level controls (§) ; the recording level from the stereo system (Line in
sockets @§)) is adjusted with the Recording level controls (6) .
. Operate as described
in items 7 to 10 of ''Recording
from stereo
system".
Notes for recording

A
DIN
lead
can
be
used
only
with
the
amplifier.
Accordingly,
recording and playback are not possible by connecting the two tape
decks.
